SCS Software developers announced two major add-ons for ETS 2 that will significantly expand the gaming experience. First, the ability to play as a bus driver will be added to the simulator with, Project Coaches .
Project Coaches: Bus Driving Coming to Euro Truck Simulator 2
Players will be able to complete routes by stopping at updated bus stops across Europe using licensed models from Scania and MAN. A realistic passenger transportation system will involve passengers getting on and off, maintaining a schedule, and customizing transportation. This mod is being developed as a separate DLC and will fulfill the dream of having an established bus career without the need to use mods.
Euro Truck Simulator 2: A New Adventure with Iceland DLC
The second add-on will take virtual truckers to Iceland, offering unique landscapes with volcanoes, glaciers, waterfalls and other natural beauties. The main route will be the 1400 kilometer long “Hringvegur”, which will allow you to travel around the entire island and reach Reykjavik. A feature of local roads is the almost complete absence of motorways – most routes will be two-lane.
Both new products are still in development and exact release dates have not been announced. SCS Software emphasizes that it prioritizes the quality and seamless integration of new mechanics into the existing game ecosystem. Project Coaches screenshots already show buses on European roads, and the Iceland DLC's concepts confirm the developers' attention to local landscape detail. These additions will open up entirely new ways for players to interact with the simulator world.
